The Day I Left You

You stood there
with your eyes empty,
ready to cry any moment.
You stood there,
shaking uncontrollably.

"I wanted you to stay,"
you said to me.
"You were always perfect
to me,"
you said to me.
But you weren't to me.

I always wanted
to get away from you,
because I wasn't the right one
for you.
But I couldn't because
I was afraid to break you;
to break your heart.

I'm sorry for not telling you
for all these days, weeks, months, years
I spent with you.
I don't expect you to forgive me.
Good bye, my love.

The Day You Left Me

I can't say it's okay anymore
because every time I do,
I want to silently cry.
I can't say it's okay
because it would be lying.
I can't handle this emptiness,
this pain anymore.
I can't say it's fine.
I can't say it's alright.
It would be all lying.
I want to cry silently to sleep
and wake up from this awful nightmare
and pretend it never happened:
the day when you left
me.

A Broken Heart

Shattering
Something's shattering
What is shattering?

A broken heart,
that's what shattering
into a million of pieces.
It hurts;
it makes tears fall
from my face,
and I know I can't stop it
because that's how pain works.
It won't stop until I cry,
cry until I sleep
and wake up with tears in my eyes.
But I must bare it,
this pain.

It will all go away
and when it does,
I would have to just forget about it
and move on.

The Reason Why

The Reason Why
I'm not here
is to protect
my family and friends.

The Reason why
I'm not here
is because
I don't want
to be a burden
to anyone anymore.

The reason why
I'm not here
is because
you would be
better off
without me.

The reason why
I'm still here
is because
I haven't give up
on myself,
on life
and/or on everything.

Your Love and My Hope

I asked you why you liked me
you told me everything.
I asked you again.
You told me that
my personality is like
the sun showing up after
a gloomy rainstorm.
You told me
being with me
has lifted the heavy weight
that was on your shoulders
and/or heart.
You told me
that you liked my smile
or was it that
you liked seeing me happy?

I'm glad that
I made your life happier.
I'm glad I have lifted
the weight that was on
your...heart.
I wish I was happy,
but reality is always in my mind,
reminding me,
"It's all going to end soon."
Or is it?
I hope it doesn't.

Fractured 2

Warning: this is not mine; I found on a game called Fractured 2

I asked you once if the sun loved the other stars;
you looked at me and shook your head.
"He doesn't have time for such things," you said
nodding, I turned back to the horizon.

The sun hung low in the blushing sky;
it's still a star and all stars die.
I shuddered at the thought, random as it was.

Darkness came and crickets chirped;
There was the familiar scuff of boots on dirt;
I turned to find that you had gone.
The moon and fog are better company;
though just as silent, I know what they expect of me.

Winter is a long and lonely season;
Spring comes as a sweet surprise;
Autumn is summer's swift demise.
Though, I do not understand the point;
you barely fit twenty_four hours in a day.
Why set my heart to a seasonal delay?

Home was soon an afterthought.
I counted the stars like missed chances
and listened intently for sacred wind dances.
I paused momentarily to curse the sun
too stubborn to pause and love someone.
At the end, we were no different.

Fractured

Warning: not mine; found them on a game called Fractured

I hope and pray that I will find
the child that I have left behind.

For as I hear the madness gloat,
a frightened scream rips from my throat.

A child's love, with blind ambition
against my panicked admonition

into the heart of evil's lair
I battle on, without despair.

And search and wander as I might
I see no ending to my plight.

There's no point in searching more
for I'm the one he's searching for.
